We all know the struggle of getting onto Al Qudra Road in the mornings and getting home in the evenings. The traffic along Al Qudra itself can be painfully slow during peak hours. With more residents moving in and new communities popping up nearby, these issues aren’t getting any better on their own.

The RTA has approved multiple major projects that will make getting in and out of our community much easier, while also reducing congestion at key intersections like the cycle track roundabout and Arabian Ranches interchange.

Here’s what’s happening, when it’s expected to be completed, and how it will benefit Mira & Mira Oasis residents.

1. Getting In and Out of Mira & Mira Oasis More Easily

New Road from Town Square to Emirates Road (E611) (ETA: Q1 2025)

🚗 What’s happening?
A new exit road is under construction behind Reem Townhouses (near Mai Dubai) that will connect directly to Emirates Road (E611).

This will greatly reduce congestion at the Al Qudra cycle roundabout by giving an alternative exit to Town Square residents.

📆 Expected completion: Q1 2025.

Flyover from Town Square to Al Qudra Road (ETA: Q4 2026)

🚗 What’s happening?
A flyover has been designed and approved, allowing vehicles to exit directly onto Al Qudra Road from Zahra Breeze & Hayat Boulevard (Spinneys), bypassing the cycle roundabout completely.

This will mean No more waiting at the roundabout behind cars trying to exit Town Square.

📆 Expected completion: Q4 2026.

Mira School Access – Still a Question Mark (ETA: TBD)

🎒 What’s happening?
A new school is opening in Mira, but no official access plan has been announced yet.

What we hope to see:

  • A direct access road from Al Qudra so school traffic doesn’t back up inside Mira.
  • Designated pick-up and drop-off lanes to prevent congestion in residential streets.

📆 No timeline confirmed yet—updates will be shared as soon as available.

2. Big Upgrades to Al Qudra and Umm Suqeim Roads

Al Qudra Roundabout Revamp (ETA: 2025)

How this helps Mira & Mira Oasis residents:

  • No more bottlenecks at the roundabout—faster flow through Al Qudra.
  • A smoother connection for anyone heading towards Arabian Ranches, Dubai Hills, or Sheikh Zayed Road.

📆 Expected completion: TBC, End 2025 early 2026.

Final Thoughts – How Soon Will We See These Changes?

Some smaller upgrades are already done (like the Arabian Ranches interchange), while others will be finished within the next couple of years. The bigger flyovers and metro projects will take a bit longer, but when they’re ready, they’ll completely change how we get around Mira, Mira Oasis, and the wider Al Qudra area.
